Power Up Basics (Amiga CD32)
The Amiga CD32 has a 5V and 12V power input.
The system will power up from only the 5V rail and display on screen. However, the CD drive nor Audio will work without the presence of the 12V rail.
The Ground, 5V and 12V rails all pass through cores from left to right, through the power switch, then when switched on out to the rest of the system.
The rails should pull nothing until the power switch is flipped.
Once powered on, the 5V rail should pull around 1.2A.
The 12V rail will pull around 300mA at initial boot for a second, then settle to 150mA while idle.
When reading a disc, the 5V rail should rise to around 1.4A and the 12V rail depending on what part of the game load should peak around 400mA during spin up but tends to trend around 190mA on a good disc read once spinning.
