there are many, many parts to the panasonic q and its array of ribbon connectors i have labelled them all for easier reference most of them connect to the side board top lid connectors connector a > side board board connector p > ac power board connector o > optical decoder board connector r > optical decoder board connector s > front board front board connectors the front board has two connectors joining the controllers and buttons to the rest of the circuit top lid (connector s) connector s goes to the top lid board gamecube controllers (connector f) the gamecube controllers come from the front board into the console board via connector f side board connectors connector a > top board connector b > av decoder pcb connector c > av decoder pcb connector e > av decoder pcb av decoder board connectors as well as connector b, c and e going back to the side board, there are a few more connector h connects the av decoder board on top, to the optical drive pcb below as shown in the image above optical decoder board connections the optical decoder pcb controls the disc drive av decoder (connector h) it has a connector h between it and the av decoder board top lid power (connector o) the optical decoder board receives power from connector o coming from the top lid top lid data (connector r) connector r connects the optical decoder to the top lid laser trim (connector q) connector q is the trim settings for the laser of the optical laser assembly laser assembly (connector v) the laser assembly (the actual laser and photo diode) are connected to the optical decoder board via connector v gamecube connectors the gamecube receives power from the power from the power board on connectors l and j av port (connector g) in addition to this, there is an av port ribbon connector g optical drive (connector d) the join between the optical decoder board and the gamecube is done via the connector d composite av output (connector t) the gamecube as well as digital av out has a connector t that outputs composite video and audio to the side board
