LHA Extractor Install (Amiga)
2min
One of the most useful tools for Amiga is the LHA program. This allows you to extract .lha files.
Download lha.run. Get this over to your Amiga any way you like:
- Use ADP Opus on PC to create a new .adf file, and drop the lha.run file into that .adf. Then run that .adf file from a Gotek.
- Use a Compact Flash to PCMCIA adapter and load it from the Compact Flash card.
- Use an SDBox v2 to run it from an SD card.
- Connect the HDD (Compact Flash, or SD Card) to a PC and use WinUAE to mount it and copy files to it.
Simply double click the lha.run file on your Amiga to extract three files:
- lha_68k
- lha_68040
- lha_68020
If you are unsure which CPU you are running, use the lha_68k file.
With the file you decide to use, copy this to the C: directory inside of your Workbench/System drive, naming it lha, for example:
īģŋ
Alternatively, just drag and drop the desired file to the C folder, make sure to show all files (Right A + Shift + +), then select the lha file just copied and press Right A + R to rename it, and type lha.
