Hard Drive Upgrade (Xbox 360)

To upgrade / replace the hard drive in an Xbox 360 is very simple.
First you will need your consoles serial number. This is located on the sticker on the back of the console and is typically 12 digits such as 427199563104.
Remove the old hard drive, insert a new 2.5" SATA drive, then turn on the console, go to Settings > Storage and click the new hard drive which usually says Unformatted.
Enter the serial number and format.
Now you can use your new hard drive.
