glitched graphics such as flashing, checkerboard, random blocks or color distortion are all caused by power vr2 chips (ic15, ic110) their ram (ic16 23, ic111 to ic118) in rare cases, the video encoder chips (ic5, ic41) in rare cases, the clpd to video encoders (ic7) trace damage between any of the above chips the most common by far are the ram chips an example was ic111 ram was faulty on one pin and caused a black and white checkerboard pattern over the whole screen
