as i learn about the macintosh se/30 i will make rough notes here until i get a firmer understanding to write more well documented and confirmed notes a nice visual of the machine from classic computers below is from the service manual, a nice diagram of the basic i/o of the machine the macintosh se/30 was made by apple computer in january 1989 and sold up to october 1991 from everymac , the apple macintosh se/30 features a 16 mhz 68030 processor, 1 mb or 4 mb of ram, and the option of a 40 mb or 80 mb hard drive standard in m5390 and m5361 configurations in a compact all in one case with a 9" monochrome display in basic terms, the se/30 is a macintosh iix in the same small all in one housing as the macintosh se like the earlier macintosh se, the se/30 has a pds expansion slot rather than the nubus slots introduced by the macintosh ii line the se/30 is the fastest and most expandable monochrome compact mac and is considered by many fans of apple hardware to be the best mac of all time
